1、 Product Overview

ABS board, also known as acrylonitrile butadiene styrene copolymer board, is currently one of the largest and most widely used thermoplastic engineering plastic sheets in production. It is prepared by polymerization processes such as lotion grafting, bulk grafting or solution grafting. It organically combines the heat and corrosion resistance of acrylonitrile, the high toughness of butadiene, and the ease of processing of styrene. It has excellent mechanical properties of toughness, hardness, and rigidity, and is widely used in many fields such as automobiles, electronic appliances, architectural decoration, medical equipment, and so on.

2、 Appearance characteristics

Basic appearance: Conventional ABS board appears light ivory, milky white or light yellow, with a smooth surface and good glossiness.

Color customization: You can customize any color such as black, red, blue, etc. according to your needs. The color stability is strong and it is not easy to fade after long-term use.

Surface texture: In addition to smooth surfaces, various textures such as imitation wood grain, imitation stone grain, orange peel grain, lychee grain, etc. can also be produced through embossing technology, which combines anti slip and aesthetic properties to meet the decoration needs of different scenes.

3、 Core performance advantages

Excellent mechanical performance: With extremely high impact strength, it can maintain good toughness even in low temperature environments of -40 ℃ and is not easily broken; The tensile strength can reach 35-45MPa, the bending strength is 50-70MPa, the dimensional stability is excellent, and the low water absorption (water absorption rate<1%) ensures that it is not easily deformed when the environmental humidity changes.

Excellent processing performance: Strong plasticity after heating, can be processed into complex shapes through various processes such as vacuum forming, extrusion, cutting, stamping, milling, etc., with high production efficiency and controllable cost; The surface is easy to be treated with electroplating, spraying, film coating, screen printing, etc., which enhances the appearance texture and wear resistance.

Stable environmental adaptability: The working temperature range is -40 ℃ to+70 ℃, and it can withstand high temperatures of up to 100 ℃ in the short term; Good chemical corrosion resistance, not corroded by water, inorganic salts, alkalis, and various acids, excellent electrical insulation performance, almost unaffected by temperature, humidity, and frequency.

Safety and environmental protection features: non-toxic and odorless, in line with food contact level safety standards, can be used in food processing equipment, tableware containers and other fields; Recycled ABS board can incorporate recycled materials into the production system, supporting a low-carbon circular economy.

Thickness: 0.5mm-8mm, conventional mainstream thickness is 1mm-5mm, special thickness can be customized according to needs

（2） Classification and Application

Universal ABS board: with balanced performance and moderate cost, suitable for electronic and electrical enclosures (TV, printer, socket panel), daily necessities (luggage, toys, furniture handles), industrial machinery parts, instrument and meter enclosures, and other fields.

Flame retardant ABS board: With a flame retardant rating of UL94V-0, it is widely used in automotive interiors (instrument panels, door panels, battery casings), building electrical conduits, medical equipment casings, switch socket bottom boxes, and other high fire protection scenarios.

Pattern type ABS board: with customized texture on the surface, used for indoor decoration (walls, ceilings, cabinet door panels), commercial display (mall display cabinets, billboards), transportation interior (anti-skid layer on ship decks, car center console), etc.

5、 Processing and precautions

Pre treatment: ABS board has strong moisture absorption, and it needs to be dried in an environment of 80-90 ℃ for 1-2 hours before processing to avoid the formation of bubbles during the molding process.

Environmental limitations: Poor weather resistance, prone to aging due to UV exposure during long-term outdoor use, requiring the addition of UV resistant additives or surface coating protection; Avoid contact with organic solvents such as ketones, aldehydes, and chlorinated hydrocarbons to prevent stress cracking.

6、 Packaging and Storage

Packaging: The inner layer is made of PE film to prevent moisture, and the outer layer is wrapped in kraft paper to prevent damage during transportation.

Storage and transportation: It should be stored in a clean and dry warehouse, avoiding direct sunlight and rain; When transporting, use covered carriages and strictly prohibit mixing with organic solvents such as aromatic hydrocarbons and halogenated hydrocarbons. Iron hooks are prohibited from dragging during loading and unloading.
