4. Processing Precautions & Storage
Pre-treatment: ABS board has strong moisture absorption. It needs to be dried in an environment of 80-90 ℃ for 1-2 hours before processing to avoid the formation of bubbles during the vacuum molding process.
Environmental limitations: Standard ABS has poor weather resistance, prone to aging due to UV exposure during long-term outdoor use, requiring the addition of UV resistant additives or surface coating protection. Avoid contact with organic solvents such as ketones, aldehydes, and chlorinated hydrocarbons to prevent stress cracking.
Packaging: The inner layer is made of PE film to prevent moisture, and the outer layer is wrapped in kraft paper to prevent damage during transportation.
Storage and transportation: It should be stored in a clean and dry warehouse, avoiding direct sunlight and rain. When transporting, use covered carriages and strictly prohibit mixing with organic solvents such as aromatic hydrocarbons and halogenated hydrocarbons. Iron hooks are prohibited from dragging during loading and unloading.
